Another glorious Buffalo summer is in full swing, and what better way to celebrate the season than by taking in an afternoon or evening baseball game at Sahlen Field. And, if family-friendly fun, fireworks and mouthwatering concessions aren’t enough to draw sports fans downtown, Rich Entertainment Group (REG) is sweetening the deal by offering exclusive giveaways and promotional activities all summer long!

REG has partnered with our hometown Herd, the Buffalo Bisons, to offer exciting giveaways throughout the 2025 season. Don’t miss this chance to take home a pickleball paddle on June 29, a snow globe on July 18, and a leather luggage tag on August 19, courtesy of ROAR Logistics, Rich’s Catering & Special Events, and The Travel Team.

Join ROAR associates at the ballpark on June 29 for exciting action on and off the field. On this special Sunday afternoon, one lucky ROAR associate will have the chance to throw the commemorative first pitch and treat their friends and family to exclusive use of a gameday suite.

“Nothing says summer quite like Bison baseball and an afternoon at the ballpark,” said Bob Rich III, President and Founder of ROAR Logistics. “I’ve invited the ROAR associates to the game, and we’ll be cheering from the party deck as one of our teammates throws out the first pitch.”

There’s still time to get in on the action, single game tickets are still available for the June 29 contest against the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs at 1:05 PM.

Grab Your Pickleball Paddle and Join the Nationwide Phenomenon

The first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles at Sahlen Field on June 29 will take home a top-notch pickleball paddle and be ready to hit the courts in style this summer, courtesy of ROAR Logistics. Did you know that almost 2 million people played pickleball in 2024? In fact, the sport continues to be one of the fastest growing in the United States with a 311% growth rate over the past three years.

“Pickleball is sweeping the nation because it’s social and accessible, everyone can play,” said Bob. “At ROAR, we’re always looking for ways to bring our associates and the Buffalo community together for fun, family-centered activities, and we thought this giveaway would allow us to introduce another great game to baseball fans.”

From Family to Film to Fan – Bob Rich III’s Connection to Baseball

The Rich family name has been synonymous with baseball in Buffalo since 1983 when they purchased the struggling team and crumbling downtown stadium. In 1984, Bob Rich III worked a summer job building sets for The Natural, starring Robert Redford and Glenn Close, which was filmed at (then) War Memorial Stadium. Bob, a budding actor, auditioned for and landed the part of Redford’s son. The film went on to earn four Oscar nominations.

Those early experiences at the ballpark left a lasting impression and nurtured a fan for life.

“Throughout my life, I’ve had so many great memories of baseball, from shagging fly balls on the front lawn as a kid with my dad to selling popcorn at the old ‘Rock Pile’ to playing catch with Robert Redford in the movie The Natural,” reminisced Bob.

Future Giveaways from REG

The pickleball paddle giveaway is the first event of REG’s promotional tripleheader. We’re celebrating Christmas in July with a special snow globe giveaway brought to fans by Rich’s Catering & Special Events. This Honda fridaynightbash® event is complete with post-game fireworks and a 10% discount code available to all fans towards holiday catering by Rich’s.

Then on August 19, The Travel Team invites fans to pack their bags complete with a limited-edition leather luggage tag. Reserve your seat at the July 18 and August 19 games now! Check out the full Bisons game and promotional schedule here.
