An escape from the winter blues is coming to a city near you. Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville has set sail on a national tour that will crisscross the nation and heat-up theatres visiting more than 20 cities this fall. Whether you’re a Buffett fan or not, you can’t help but get swept away by this fun-filled adventure in musical theatre.

The show has everything theatre-goers expect from a Broadway production, including an award-winning creative team, a character-driven story, vibrant sets and costumes, dynamic choreography, and of course, non-stop music. These aren’t just toe-tapping tunes, they’re Buffett classics that will get you on your feet and swaying to the island beat.

Buffett worked closely with the production team to ensure the musical conveys the “island escapism” vibe he has personified since the 70s. Escape to Margaritaville features a book by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia and Emmy Award nominee Mike O’Malley, and Buffett himself wrote plenty of original songs for the musical to accompany hits such as “Come Monday,” “Volcano,” “Fins,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and many more.

On stage, Margaritaville is an island resort, a paradise where city folk get away from it all. The show tells the story of a part-time bartender, part-time singer and full-time charmer named Tully (Chris Clark) who thinks he’s got life all figured out; until a beautiful career-minded tourist (Sarah Hinrichsen) steals his heart and makes him question everything.
