After COVID halted all live shows more than a year ago, Escape to Margaritaville is back on stage! The show will kick off its triumphant return at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on August 31, 2021 before hitting dozens of cities across the US. This 12-week tour will be Escape to Margaritaville’s last. If you’ve ever wanted to spend an evening watching the musical USA Today calls “A little slice of paradise,” now is the time!

You can catch Chris Clark (as Tully), Sarah Hinrichsen (as Rachel), Peter Michael Jordan (as Brick), Rachel Lyn Fobbs (as Marley), Patrick Cogan (as J.D.), Matthew James Sherrod (as Jamal), and Emily Qualmann (as Tammy) singing and dancing everywhere from Arizona to Florida to New York. The cast will take their final bows in these roles at Buffalo’s iconic Shea’s Performing Arts Center on November 21, 2021.

Escape to Margaritaville follows a bartender and a singer working in the Caribbean as they fall for tourists visiting from the Midwest. Theatergoers have been falling in love with these captivating characters as they get to know one another since the show premiered on Broadway in 2018. This endearing love story is set to the well-known island tunes of Jimmy Buffet, one of music’s greatest storytellers and most recognizable voices. You can’t help but sing along!

Now, the musical is headed to a stage near you, including the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre, the Durham Performing Arts Center, and many more. The talented cast and crew are directed by Amy Anders Corcoran (based on original direction by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley). Escape to Margaritaville also features the work of choreographer Kelly Devine, a Tony Award nominee, and associate choreographer Andrew Turteltaub.

As Jimmy Buffet himself puts it, “Our musical is back, this fall season, and ready to take parrotheads and theatre patrons to the island of Margaritaville and escape this crazy world we all find ourselves in these days, for a few hours of fun. And, our talented performers are ready, willing and able to take you on a vacation, without ever leaving your seat.” If you’d like to join us in Margaritaville, visit https://escapetomargaritavillemusical.com/ for more information.
