It’s been nearly seven years since the last total solar eclipse crossed over North America, and scientists predict the next viewing experience won’t happen until 2044. Rich Entertainment Group (REG) is at the heart of the action, both at Sahlen Field (home of the Buffalo Bisons) and along the waterfront at Canalside and Outer Harbor. Gather the family for this rare cosmic event and grab a front row seat at one of these viewing activities.

NASA and Bisons Host Total Solar Eclipse at Sahlen Field

All eyes will be on the sky as the Buffalo Bisons and NASA invite fans to experience the Total Solar Eclipse presented by Tops Monopoly, on Monday, April 8, 2024, as its centerline passes over centerfield.

“With Buffalo being one of the best places in the entire world to view this amazing event, this will certainly go down as one of the most unique and memorable events we’ve ever been able to host at Sahlen Field. We’re extremely fortunate and thankful that NASA has partnered with us to come to Buffalo because there’s no one on this planet better suited to educate and guide us through this once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Anthony Sprague, General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons.

The free event at Sahlen Field will feature NASA scientists, Q&A sessions, demonstrations and a live feed on the Bisons’ 80 ft. scoreboard. Ballpark gates will open at 12:00 p.m. and programming begins at 1:00 p.m. Free Eclipse Viewing Glasses will be given to the first 2,000 fans through the Inspire Dental Gate at Swan St.
